Obscura Café & Drinkery was reported to have closed in 2025.

Obscura Cafe & Drinkery features cafe style food, cocktails, speakeasy lounge and LGBTQ events in the heart of the Lewiston.

The inspiration for Obscura comes from the unique character of the building it calls home. Originally the flagship location of Lamey-Wellehan, the building was designed in the Art Deco style of the period. Lewiston natives Corey DuFour and Angie Lafrance had long held a vision for what would become Obscura and partnered with another Maine native, Nathan Hines, to bring the shared vision to fruition.

Obscura is owned and run by several local artists and the establishment has a close personal connection to the art community. They are committed to supporting Maine artists through displaying their work on the gallery wall and display windows, as well as participating in Art Walk L/A and other local art events.
